Selecting genes by biological types

 

SVA allows selecting genes by gene's biological types.

To access this function, click on menu "Filter -> Gene filter - biotype", or click on button "Gene filter - biotype ".

You will see a dialog like this:

This dialog lists all the gene biological types in the currently loaded project, with the number of genes in each category. The figure above shows the gene biological types on the chromosome 22 in the example project.

After you select the genes, click on button "Filter". This process will first select all the genes associated with the selected biological types, then select all the variants related to the selected genes, by the functional categories defined here.
